I recently got my licence with 2 mates and we are all keen to get out markers. I notice that they are not cheap. I have been quoted $500 for a Kingman Rodeo, yet http://www.xtremez.com/paintball/ sell them for $119, which is approx $160 converted. Whats the deal? Massive markup? or just taxes and stuff? Any help would be much appreciated.

g'day adzza. If your not going to spend too much on your first marker (and by that I only mean a few hundred) I'd buy in Aus and forget about the import until you upgrade at a later date.

Where are you based?

With the import you will have to only pay GST based on the cost of the marker plus postage, there is no duty and you'll have a $50 entry processing charge. (in Qld)

The problem comes with the multiple phone calls made to two different departments, explainations of things unknown to people who don't understand, pretty complicated paperwork, and about a 3 month wait period.

Unless your going to save heaps I wouldn't worry about it. Buy in Aus and you can ensure to have backup if anything goes wrong.

If you are after Kingman Gear call the guys at Townsvilles Adrenalin+ Paintball. If you buy from a local Aussie dealer and have any problems then they can help you. If you buy from overseas and have a problem, well any savings you could possibly make get well and truly flushed........................freighting gear back and forwards takes lots of time and money. :thumbsdow

G'day
With regards to Kingman Markers purchased from Paintballplus, who I might have everything else for the paintballer. The difference between us and importing from overseas is we carry the guarantee and warranty here in Oz, so if anything goes wrong with your Kingman marker, we replace it, not repair, with a new one. And we treat our buyers as customers, not punters
