Q-loaders...
Details on what they are like...
which player are they best suited for (back, mid, front...)
who in Australia sells them...
Two biggest issues I want to know about are :
1. reloading how long and how complicated is it...
2. how reliable/durable is it...
I'm after people who OWN one...
Not some one who shot one on the chrony...
Not some one who doesn't like the milling...
Not some one who doesn't think the milling is important...
serious posters only

No they were illegal under the APPL rules due to being force fed not gravity fed .. but as well are playing NPPL rules now nosuch rule exists

I've used one on a buddy's gun. I'm not sure exactly what your priorities are in paintball but i felt that the time it takes too load it(the pods themselves) and the capacity of only 100 balls werent worth it to me.
however. it does lower the height of the gun a ton. only a little elbow over the feedneck instead of a whole hopper. it also feeds very reliably and fast for the most part. you have to be very careful to reload when it gets low because it has such a low capacity to begin with and when it runs out it is done since it has no gravity feed. there is no warning like with other hoppers that start making a bunch of noise trying to spin those last couple balls in. it simply stops when its out of balls and you shoot air.
reload times on it are about the same as a regular hopper if you are going from a zero paint situation but if you still have some paint and are shooting its slower. you have to drop the old pod off. then reach back and grab a new pod and clikc it in. so the whole no lids argument sounds good on paper but it simply doesnt speed u up when you can be opening lids and grabbing pods and reloading while still shooting with a standard hopper.
One last point. the cost. its only about as much as a normal high end loader (z-coded halo b or reloader b). but you are carrrying pods onto the field that cost $20 each. I dont feel comfortable throwing them or sliding with them and risking breaking them.
overall. if you are a front player and dont shoot much and like the low profile and dont mind the cost, then they may be the hopper for you. personally I cant justify to myself the reload (pods) times and the cost of individual pods. (I like to show up and fill 20 pods at the beginning of my day and then just grab and go all day)
peace

nice review ictoae. Stick some pictures up Synergy as the ones on the qloader website dont do it justice.

The only one Ive seen is synergy's & I can see the benifts (wait for the but).............But, with respect, I might have been looking at the times that hes had problems but it seems that when ever I look the hose has come off & balls are pouring on the ground a mach 2......Benifits seem to be the same with a warp however If I was going to go to the trouble of lowering the height of a marker by moving or removing the hopper I would go the warp even tho its another set of batteries & another electrical device that can go wrong.
The q-loader v the warp I have only personally seen 1 q-loader & a few warps But Shorty swears by his warp. & he is extremely hard to shoot when hes set behind a bunker as hes a short bugger & he plays tight at the best of times let alone the fact that the hopper isnt sticking up over his head!
So I'd go the warp

so do you think a mid player would be able to use it with no problems, cos it seems to be everyone is having problem with their haloes, warps, eggs, hell even revi's are having issues...

the biggest problem I see with it is that it forces you to stop shooting. Like if your reloading with a regular loader you wait til youve got 20 balls or whatever keep your gun up and can keep shooting and holding a lane whislt you load, but if you use a qloader you are screwed if someone makes a move whilst your loading.

synergy, can you put a picture of yours on a borg up on this site.
ill get pics up soon as i can.
ictoae i will do a test for you. we both start off with 100 pb
me qloader him egg2 and shoot off the 100pb's and reload 100 shoot and reload. and see whos in the game longer.yeah Knackers i didnt have a o-ring on the tube most the time it stays in fine but there was paint smudged on it and ever since it kepted sliming off.it clearly says in the manual dont got out with out o-rings at both ends of the tube " for fear you will give q-loader a bad name"
deadeye it still has 5-6+ balls still in the tube when reloading and if you have it setup right and are good at it reloading is fast!!

Huge volleys of paint like 30 ball a sec are only good off the break out for shooting lanes.
Any way from what I have seen there is little difference in either loader, I think it's what you are used to, just like getting used to a new marker...
Well i have to say from first hand experience it is hard to shoot synergy with the q-loader, bloody low profile. But with the discussion of reloading that is what you have team work for in my opinion, and whats the saying...pratice makes perfect!

thanks for the info (but I'm still no near figuring out what to do), eggs breaks, haloes are the devils work, revi are too slow, and the q-loader is like me thirty seconds and it over

Yes it is a delima. I haven't had any problems with my egg or any of the ones I use with/for SWAT. I think (Eggs breaking) is more to do with heavy handed people. If you are worried about profile you can go a warp Feed.

profile not the problem, just begging for a reliable sturdy fast hopper... And I sure as hell don't think I could make for my self
