There not bad for a beginner, but there are lot of other markers around and because of the import changes the prices have come right down, I suggest going to a few fields and having a go of a few differant markers before you decide.

I think deadeye is questioning the other guy tex, as he is using the name of the Hurricane manufacturer
there are quite a few different guns in the same price/quality range as the Hurricane
you have the PMI range, Dragun, Spider etc most of which for abit more money can be had with electronic triggers
check out any of the aus sites like Platinumpaintball Actionpaintball PWsports they have pricing and pics of all of the above
if you want some real help dont hesitate to pm me
who are you dude, you shoudln't be hiding behind a false alias.
Tex, I'm pretty sure that Deadeye is Talking to "James MacDev". It's some dood posing as the guy who makes Hurricanes.
edit: Damn I hate it when somebody gets in just before ya.

Mate the Hurricane Electro is good for beginers. In one respect though if your dead set keen and know your in for the long haul then invest in a higher end like a Borg if you can.
If your not sure if your in for the long haul then go for a Hurricane Electro i say. There are plenty of Amatures useing a lesser marker and also Hurricanes.
May not be much good as the backmans marker though.
I started with a Hurricane and still have it as a back up. Just in case.
But who needs a spare when you have a Borg.
One of our front players uses one but soon to upgrade to a borg.
He loves it but for him its time to upgrade.
I have posted one for sale myself complete and also a Borg.
Im not trying to talk you into it but if your in perth your more than welcome to give it a go or use at a tourny or training day to test it out. Just PM me.
As someone else said Andrew at PW Sports is a good start if your looking. Hes a local, a good bloke to deal with and he sells quite cheap to support us locals.
Get down here mate and mingle im sure there are guys who want to put a team together. They are all a decent bunch of people.
All the best Brother.

Tex
You cant go wrong with the hurricane-straight out of the box with a
power hopper they are great. Used one last night with the barrel kit
and a viewloader-Bloody mint-couldnt chop a ball using Evil paint
Ive also got a few PMI Piranhas and they are good as well.

The original Hurricane, semi-autos were brought to OZ back in 1991.

Holly cow, that is a different looking sucker.. Dont know if i want it pointed at me though.. I might get flash backs of "NAM"
They should defenately be on the ban list.

Well, in '91, that was the only way I could bring a semi to OZ.
It had to be a rifle and had minimum length restrictions.
When and where were you in Nam? :respekt:
I never saw anything that looked like the Hurricane while there.

Well my vision was a little bit impaired when I was in NAM, so I could have been mistaken, since i was still kicken back with a few of my Bro's in my dads sack!!!
But if my vision was not impaired I would have been scared.
