Hello all
I was wondering what you chaps reckon is the optimum barrel length ?
I have a standard freak back and a 8" AA front, but last weekend i was having issues with wrapping against the coke cans.
I dont want the shocker to be a garden stake, but i need a longer tip!
I have been told that as a back.... i should have at least 16" on the front of the shocker...
Any thoughts?

For paint flying straight it needs good paint and a matching 5" of paintball-leading barrel, which usually is your back. The rest is grey zone, you will get a million different opinions on things. Plus its guns, Angels shoot different to Cockers shoot different to a Matrix shoots different to a Timmy.
I found for myself, that if you sport a 14 or 16" barrel, you can move aside the supairbunker pretty well while having your body hiding behind the barricade. And sometimes, yes only sometimes I feel that the longer it is, the better I feel ;)

I noticed Mike has All American fronts - 14, 16 and 18" fronts !!!
and 18" front would make it a 22" overall barrel length !!!
I would not have to leave the State with a barrel that long, <<okay maybe a little silly. >>
Imagine cleaning that sucker - I'd need a huge squeegy!!
Maybe a 14" - making it 18 overall "

Hideous. The front is measured as overall length. They know ur back is 6 inch so the front will be 10 inches. Thus giving you 16' overall.

i used to run a 18" freak on my old shocker and that was madness but no wi usually run a 16" and have been known to run a 14" every now and then depends on thefield marker iam using and what mood iam in
Smart Parts barrels go up to 18 inches (this includes the back up to the point touching the gun itself.) :armed:

Do you really need a barrel that long ??????
Got a 16" Freak kit from Mikey boy at action and im finding it a lot easier to wrap around bunkers and snap, even in my noob state.
I could see where having a slightly shorter barrel may come in handy(ie, the standard AA front that comes with the Shocker attached to a Freak back) but in most cases i think that the 16 is a good all rounder

for sup-air i would have to say a 14" would be a minimum length. Its great for pushing bunkers outta the way thuis keeping your profile down. 16" is the way to go though.
