Hi all, I know CO2 is a dirty word nowadays (ok so it's three words  )
but out here in Emerald we don't have access to HPA and the nearest dive shop would probably be Rocky, 2 + hours away. So my question is this:
What markers are there available (in Oz) which run allright on both CO2 and HPA?
I have a Spyder AMG and I've been told it will run on both. What about Cockers, Mags etc?
Thanks in advance

last time i asked this question i was told Spyders and Cockers as they have fewer O rings to replace when they dry out.
Definitely NOT a new Shocker.

From what I've heard Impulses work on CO2.
I have no idea how their rate of fire goes when using it, but they are a good tourney marker to run off the gas.

My Automag worked allright on CO2, but it runs alot better with air
buy an old shocker, they love the CO2. and mags go alright on CO2 when you run a remote line, as it drows more gass as opposed to liquid. as for cockers, i would not run a cocker on CO2... just my personal preferance and my 5c worth :)
but remeber, each to their own
just remember, dont run an X-Valved mag on CO2
Old mags are fine on CO2.
Just make sure you run an expansion chamber with them.

Old Shockers and Impulses.
Expect to peel your fingers off the gun after you fire a long string with an Impulse though.

Solution: Gloves :)
On Co2 you can run
Shockers (both old and new) with a good anti siphon set up
Impulses (as above)
Cockers (both electro and mech)
Mags, Spyders, Draguns, Matrix's, (again with a good anti syphon set up)
With most of these if you can get your hand on an old fibre wrap bottle like a 68 cubic inch (1.1 litre) instead of a smaller 20 ounce bottle than this will also reduce chilldown as well as a lot of other normal Co2 problems.
That said, they will all run a lot better on air. Especially if you want to shoot a lot of paint very quickly.

So you can use fibre wrap cylinders for CO2 as well as HPA?
Hmm that could be good to know.
Anybody got any old ones lying around?
Cheers and thanks for the replies. I've been filling my 20oz CO2s by weight (like you should) and I haven't had any liquid problems yet (touching wood). I was keen to know if cockers could be run on CO2.
Thanks to all who replied.

Cockers are generally fine althought that said, with the electros you may find that the solenoid on the front might not last as long, and these babies cost about $100.00 so air can suddenly become a cheaper option.

If you're running a marker that doesnt have a solenoid.. and you are worried about o-rings drying out.. or it just doesnt seem to be running right..
You can lube the marker by dropping a couple of drips of automatic transmission fluid into the ASA and then screw in your cylinder... it'll work a treat - and is a great way to get to those hard to reach places inside your toy.
