what state are you in ... Its best to buy off a licenced dealer in australia ... and I think you need a licence first ... then a permit to aquire ... then you can get one after 30 days .. I dont recomend buying off ebay .. if your looking for cheap markers check the forsale section on this forum

Licence first then worry about the rest. You need to have a licence to possess a marker no matter where you are so get that sorted cause it can take a while.

Is it worth trying to get a contact in the US and then sorting our imports out between a gun shop here in QLD and the contact in the US?

Yeah thats one way to do it.
Sort our whjat you want then approach a licensed dealer and see what they will charge to do the importing.

Varies from state to state but generally

Licence
Permit to Acquire
B709A form

then you can import. (Note: If marker is non complying customs will confiscate it when it gets here)

All paintball markers need to be safety tested by the Australian Federal Police as well. This process can take a couple of weeks, as in most states, they do not test every week.

And how long can i expect the process to take...ie: shipping, then customs, then AFP...or should i just ask the gun shop and leave you all alone?

and where can i go to get the compliance details for imports in QLD?

Hi All
I'm new to paintball and wanted to start playing but don't turn 15 until late this year but want to get ready so I can start playing straight away.

My dad is going play as well so he will own the guns and I'll get to play with them :)

My question is as I live in Qld what's the best way to transport your paintball gun to you as in certified post or courier?

This is of course after we go through buying them and customs.
