Some ppl like impys some like Borgs it's just like mags vs cockers
Read up on them as much as you can, for Impulses try the Impulse Owners Group http://www.impulseownersgroup.com
and for Borgs follow the link in Deadeyes sig or the Macdev website.
It's down to personal choice whatever you feel best with, both are electronic both have good ROF etc etc etc

no one elses opinions matter Camo unless you dont intend on using the Borg yourself. If its for you then try both and use what you like best. If 100 people tell you that one guns better and you prefer the opposite what does it matter use what you prefer because you will play better with it.

If you get an impy go a little more money and get the Shocktech SFL Impulse. Totaly badness from what I've seen.
But just try out both and see which you like the best.

You also have the advantage of running the Impulse on Co2 if you cant get air.
Impulses also make great rental guns, at the end of the day you hose them off with hot water, dry the board, quick lube and put away.

here's some comparisons.
borg - break beam eye
imp - reflective
break beam reads any paint 100%.
borg is lighter, smaller and much more efficient.
nicer milling on the strange impulse.
cyborg has less kick and is much quieter.
try and get your hands on one of each and see which one feels best for you and then make up your mind.

Hmm, not sure about the quieter and less kick. The borg I used was very nice but the most distracting thing was how it rode up when shot fast, could be because it is so light. My impy sits dead steady and is slightly heavier. Could be how it was set up, but it had no drop forward so it had a forward centre of gravity as it was. As for quiet, it depends on the barrel you use and how much porting it has in my oppinion. The only marker I have been able to detect a real difference is with the DM4, now that is quiet. Just recently I have noticed with my strange that it prefers a dark hopper as light seems to affect the eye in some way with my clear egg. But as the NPPL rules state, no clear hoppers, so a dark hopper and eye on, 22bps set rate is more than fast enough for me.

The Matrixes and Cyborgs have a reputation now for being the 2 most quiet guns, Matrix might be a tad more quiet. p.s Rob it might be dark paint that has caused your eye trouble I read somewhere about non break beam eyes having issues with dark paint.

"cyborg has less kick and is much quieter."
Id go with the quieter but the Borgs i used allways Kicked up directly in a straight line.
reflective eyes do have trouble with dark paint
id go the impy yet i have not shot a strange but the one i shot with the cricket board shot really fast and had hardly any kick

I'd probably go the Borg.
Light, quieter, still the same ridiculous ROF.
Not as far to send it back if it needs attention.
S'up to you though dude.

Impulse sounds like a deodorant and Borg sounds like the sound you make while throwing up :)
If these are highend guns then does price come into the equasion?

I ment no offence by my previous post by the way as it's just that the names made me think those thoughts.
Should have heard my girlfriend when I told her I was looking at pictures of a Cocker
