I know if you put oil or petroleum under pressure - it explodes or becomes extremely volatile..

But I have read on alot of places ( paintball specific ) that people put paintball specific oil into the filler on their hpa to lube the internal piston in their reg's.. ( namely gold cup oil )

Now, I know this is probably not such a great idea.. but my users manual for my air america mentions the same, putting lube into the filler for the reg...

Please dont flame me on this one, curious minds want to know..

Don't do it. If you need to do ANYTHING, take that thing apart when it is not under pressure. Make sure it is completely empty and then check your O rings in your regulator.
You do not oil these O rings, you lube them. This will keep your reg consistent.

if you wanna lube your hpa pull it apart and use a non petroleum based grease
