is there any way to stop the balls from slipping on a warp feed or dose the type of paint affect it?

Yep, Thats what I read in automags.org as well Just take it apart & cut a piece of thick stiff paper or thin cardboard to fit & go for your life

Mike said to try turning the plastic disks the opposite way occasionaly as the plastic can develop a memory and sty flaired out.
Just re-read this and I'm not sure it makes sence but I cant think of another way of explaining it.

try cleaning them as well cause you get a build up of slippery stuff on the wheels and give what big rob said a try

The best way to stop slipping is to clean the discs after each use and rotate the discs every couple of cleans.....should be no need to use cardboard.
