Have you got the correct LPR gauge?? get one. lube the LPR with molykote 33 and a dip of oil in the Exhaust port every no and again. As per manual.
If you have an egg or halo up your ROF. I have seen so many LCDs with eggs and halos that are still left set on 12 or 13 max. You got the feed get the speed. Make sure your ram is set properly for your bolt. especialy if you have put a differant bolt into it.
If you are going to a tourny where my team are just ask us and we will help you out if we can.

i have an egg and have increased the rof but how far do you take the dwell on say a rof of bout 16 to 18?

depends on what your lpr is. If you lpr is standard at about 80-90, then you want it anywhere from 8-13 generally, and if your lpr is lower you can raise it to say a max of 17 if your lpr is 55psi.

You should only up the dwell if you are getting to much paint breaking. optimum is 13 i think,

Because of the exhaust valve design in the Dark LCD's you won't be able to get the LPR down to 55 psi and still run at velocity, ram won't have enough force behind and even if you pump the pressure up behind the exhaust valve the velocity will be all over the place. If you run a very long dwell you are also shortening the time the ball has to drop into the breach so your max acheavable rate of fire will drop, so if rof is what your after then you have to balance this out. Setting up an angel properly is just that, a bit of a balancing act, but if you know what you want out of it then it's easy to set up just right for that. To set the dwell for good consistency and softness on paint, set you dwell at 20, then go over a chrony and chrony the marker, then drop the dwell setting one millisecond at a time till you notice a drop in velocity then leave it at this. Any more dwell time than this will mean you are just blowing air out the end of the barrel. You can set it lower and use a slightly higher shot pressure and this will increase you efficiency (shots from a tank). So yeah it is a balancing act but like Tyddy said, see any of the Jetts at a tourney and we'll be glad to help you out.

With a egg2 with Y board you should be able to get about 16 bps even with a dwell up to about 16-17.

As of yet I don't think so. With the egg I would say to try to set it up to get about 16 bps from it and work from there.
