I'm not entirely sure if this is the best place to post this but it is tourny related. :)
For those of you that haven't already seen it or heard about it, we're just about to (finally!) release a three disk DVD set of the Rotorua Volcanic 2003 tournament that was held in October. There are 70 games featured (from start to finish) totaling around 315 minutes over the three disks. On top of that, the first disk contains a photo slideshow taken by a local photographer, video highlights & bloopers, and interviews of various people involved.
All up, there's just over six hours of video over the three DVDs. And, yep, its entirely legal :p Due to mainstream titles having royalties of around $1-3K per track, we've enlisted the aid of a few local bands. Out of Ashes and Idle Faction have both helped out with music.
Argh! Stupid msg editor just deleted 3/4 of my message when I inserted a weblink! Sheesh... I can't remember what I wrote. Hmmm...
Anyway... Also included in the four disk case is a bonus disk containing full-length PC playable versions of the highlights and bloopers. These copies are, of course, free for distribution in their unedited state.
High quality Verbatim DVD blanks and new Plextor drive have been covering that side of things... The DVDs are also labeled directly on the surface of the disk. In other words, no sticky labels to come off inside your $1000 DVD player!
Drat, I can't remember what else I wrote. :) Anyway, this webpage took all of an hour to put together, and it shows. hehe I didn't have a great deal of time but included some menu screenshots as well as a few game shots. You'll also be able to see one of the "Game in Game" shots where we had two cameras filming on the one field, and then synced the video afterwards.
The shortened video clip is about 3.5mins in length and 5.8Mb in size. I didn't have time to completely redo a small version, so I just cut bits out of the finished one and stuck them together :) Enjoy

I'll be posting a copy over to Pete in the next week or two, and also hope to have sorted the online purchasing side of things. Basically, it comes out at $75 for the four disk set, + postage
Enjoy
Cheers
