Everyone.
Some of the fallout from the World Cup and Commanders Cup (PSP & NPPL respectively) is the issue of ref'ing. People are finally talking more seriously about an independent ref'ing body (think the PRO but done properly) ... and to that end a petition has been started online at p8ntballer.com (http://www.p8ntballer-forums.com) - and is being spread to the entire globe.
So what do we need? If you agree with this then tag your details onto the bottom and let's see if we can get things moving.
Don't agree? Want to flame? Have a question? Ask them in a new thread - I want to leave this just for those names that support - I'd ask mods to delete any other posts from this thread.
Cheers
Marty

PETITION FOR A PROFESSIONAL OFFICIATING ORGANIZATION TO SERVE PAINTBALL
We, the undersigned, being members of and players for competition paintball teams demand that the members of our industry, including event promoters, league organizations, manufacturers, publishers, distributors, field owners and store owners support and monetarily assist in the establishment of a professional, independent national officiating organization.
The purpose of this petition is to demonstrate to the industry that all players and teams, regardless of their status, affiliations and participation desire fair, balanced and non-politically based officiating at the events and games they attend.
This petition by no means seeks to present a formal organizational structure, nor does it impose any restrictions or demands on how or by whom such an organization is formed.
The undersigned hope that this petition will serve as a launching pad for a nationally based, non-partisan, unaffiliated effort to bring about such an officiating organization. It is hoped that this petition will receive broad-based support and that its weight of numbers and cross-industry affiliations will demonstrate to everyone the desire on the part of players and the absolute need on the part of our industry for such an organization.
This petition was prepared by the National Committee to Create a Paintball Officials Organization, an unaffiliated, non-partisan, not-for-profit volunteer organization.
