Given that below is the top 4 as it stands I cant understand how Blacky thinks Night Shade are so far ahead of Damage in the race if Eclipse slip up? Although I would acknowledge that Shades have a better head to head count against Damage but Welt dont!

Its very big and VERY flat with 6meter high mounds of dirt with fences on top to stop any paintballs and also the wind, It is only 5 minutes from Subway, Hungary Jacks etc etc The field will be approximately 50 meters form the compund area which are seperated by another 6meter mound of dirt. The compound area is not yet ready but SAPPA will be hiring two or three large marque's for the event as well as about 20 tables and chairs. The bituman carpark joins directlyto a main road and is only about 10 meters from the very large compound area. Unfortunately with all of the construction still going on it will not be possible to have any kind of lawn down for this round so it is completely covered in soft dirt, cant wait!

I must also say at this point that while it is getting difficult to get things ready before tourney day, Rohan, the field owner has put in literally hundreds of man hours to get things finished for us. Not to mention the considerable expense he has gone to. I feel priveledged to play in a sport where so many of the field owners are willing to bend over backwards with their own time and resources to help our Association

if you open it up to eveyone you might endup with more interstate teams or NZ'ers like pete did .... and if there is no APPL next year you might be our only option can you imagine how many scuba tanks we would need if you had 20 teams .... swat and us shot over 15 tanks at topgun

Its easy for the SA guys to get air tanks over there, so I would think the majority of them wouldn't want to pay more entry fee to cover air, when they can easily get their own. Next year if APPL isn't going and theres going to be like 20+ teams then yeah I think air should be provided, but if theres just 2 Vic teams this round seems pointless in getting all the extra stuff primarily so things would be easier on us.

SAPPA does not exclude interstate teams. We currently have a vic team playing and in the past NSW teams have played.

As long as markers are registered then there is no problems. Thats got nothing to do with the air.

Air is not supplied because SAPPA does not have the funds to own a compressor or have someone to safely use one. Also we have explored the hire of one but have not yet found a suitable vendor.

So we have been looking at it but the SAPPA is building safely and slowly within its financial limitations.

But, at the end of the day the SAPPA aim is to provide a low cost tournament series to its members. So like the APPL, if your not a member, we aint listening!! :kiss:

Trent...it would be great to have 4500 fills on tap but that ain't going to happen by next tourny...I'm sure it's something the SAPPA are looking into (see JJJ's last post) but it's not just a matter of just strapping some tanks on to the back of a trailer and off you go....

This is only SAPPA's 2nd year in operation and I like to think that we have done very well.
We did not anticipate the level of interstate interest, as we did start SAPPA with the view to being a state competition. We enjoy having interstate teams at our tournaments as it has added to the level of competition and raised the bar for our players.
We are planning to review this year, and are setting some goals to achieve in 2004.

SAPPA is looking forward to more interstate teams next year and we are looking in to HPA fills but these things must be done properly and in accordance with Australian standards and our insurance both of which have something to say about HPA fills on site.

Due to reasons beyond our control Paintball Park has been made unavailable by the powers that be for Round 4 of 2003 :hammer:
We will instead be running the event at Skirmish SA Strathalbyn. The field owner was VERY nice and allowed us to hold an event at his field at such short notice. Will be posting more details as soon as they become available.
Also SAPPA would like to once again stress the point that ALL markers that enter fields in SA are required by law to be registered (in accordance with your home states laws) and approved by SA firearms. Field owners have stressed this to us as a requirement of hosting a tournamnet. In an effort to promote the sport even more in the years to come we have made a big effort to work in conjunction with SA firearms. Sorry for the inconvenience

nah we dont have time for more games this time as we have a huge air field to deflate as well as end of year presentations, Some players have suggested some changes to the game format of next year, ie more rounds, more games , two day events. SAPPA is interested in all of these suggestions and will be taking them to a vote at the AGM at the beggining of next year please be sure and forward all RELEVANT information and suggestions to a SAPPA member who will be attending the meeting if you cant or forward something to me or the mouse if you want have something brought up.
