Not sure who how many of you guys are going to this years Royal Melbourne Show (starts next thursday for 10 days up to end of Sept) but looks like MIP are running the inflatable paintball arena for the entire event next to the grand pavillion and centre square. About 30% of the crowd are families and kids (not potential paintballers) but now days there are heaps of things for 18 plus - live music, booze and open until 10 each night.
Anyway - now they have have paintball on display as well. Come on down and support the show, support paintball, chat to the crowd and have a shoot at the biggest paintball public display in Australia.
Cheers

this is the time to try - horse flu is killing these shows and the need other stuff to display. Give it go, never know unless you try.

Pics are also attached. Looks like we solved the wind problems that we had - twice as many blowers and the thing is handling massive winds without even moving (wish we had those at the GP!!)
Tomorrow and Sunday will be 20 and fine so drop by - anyone here is welcome to have a shot in the arena.
Will be there Tuesday showing some dogs...will you be there then James?

Probably going tomorrow but yeah may drop in Tuesday. Have you got any of your pups for sale at the show? We just lost our ridgeback a month ago (R.I.P Rhea) and are thinking about whats next.
No pups for sale sorry..and about the loss....showing other dogs not the dobes. Will pop in and have a look on Tuesday as only day I will be at the show.

I think they have some AFL players playing against Nova today at 4pm. Keep an ear out if you have the radio on - should be pretty funny.

Was there yesterday, but It was all laser tag:no: in the morning and the little one didn't make it to the arvo.

yeah i think it was about 60% laser and 40% paintball yesterday. They try to keep it paintball the entire time but if there are no players waiting (and heaps of kids around) they switch to laser for a few hours.

Hmm not enough customers :( , you would think you would have shit loads aye..Hey are your prices the same as your normal prices like for the ACTUAL MIP building?

The problem is that a very large percentage of the RMS patrons are under 18 or part of a family unit / group that aren't really up for playing. That being said, we have been very surprised at the number of people playing paintball. Prices are $25 for 100 and it lasts about 10 mins in the arena. Laser is $10 for 10 lives and lasts about 5 to 10 mins.
Interesting that we never intended on generating any $$ from either paintball or laser. The priority is really exposure but its turned out to be a success in both ways.

So If im the only person in the line and already paid, do I vurse one of you or how do it work.

You play against the other patrons waiting (most of the time there is a list) or against the ref's / staff. No one is playing hard paintball - just knock about fun.

the crew at MIP running the show arena are doing a great job - they have been awarded 2nd today in the "best commercial exhibition / activity category". Well done to Cam and the rest of the lads.
Ps for anyone intending on seeing the arena at the RMS tomorrow it is forecast for very high winds - this can be a problem so there is a good chance the arena will be down for part of the day. Sorry - it may look safe enough but the building code only permits inflatable structures to operate in certain safe wind conditions.
