Dudes,

I have a spyder shutter.
what o-rings should I get for spares. I read on Otters that I should use polyurethane for most applications but I am having trouble finding any.
Someone suggested using Nitrite "Duro" that are suppose to be the same. Does it really matter all that much what you use.

Any info would be great especially on where to get them from in WA.
Also I know to use pnuematic oil but can you suggest some brand names and where to get them. Everywhere I have gone they don't know what I am talking about. I have tried "3 in 1" but no-one sells that over here.

PLease help.

All orings on your spyder will be metric series, pull off the one from your hammer(striker) and take it to a bearing shop, this is the most commonly broken/worn oring on a spyder, the bearing shop should be able to size it up (there a 2 different sizes for late and old spyders).
As for oil, 3 in one will most likely eat into or swell your o-rings over time, best ot use paintball specific oil like kermode concepts KC oil, Action paintball should have it in stock?
If you buy the blue one it is meant for co2 use, the purple one is for high pressure air.
If you really must use a local alternative, try transmition fluid, it is designed not to damage orings but will most likely freeze up when using co2.
Good luck, Neil

My advice to you Hudson is this.

Strip marker completely. Taking care not to damage any thing and importantly remembering how it goes back together (bad demons).

Collect all orings in a bag and wander yourself off to "Transeals". These guys are situated on Kewdale rd just up from the lights at Welshpool rd. Can't miss it, an ugly orange building.

If these guys don't have it i'm sure they will be able to source some for you.

Have fun
