View Full Version : Travel on a plane
planning on traveling interstate and want to take my gear with me to play a few games in QLD. Am I allowed to carry my marker on a plane, do I need a special permit, do I need to inform the airlines???? :help:
When at the counter tell them you have a marker in your gear they will then sent you to book your gear in as a restricted item which gets stored away from other luggage.
When you get to the other end they will be waiting at the carosel with your bag.
Make sure you empty your air system and or remove the reg.
Easy as that.

I read somewhere once someone talking about putting a spare ASA on the REG making it "open" so there was no pressure and that was acceptable..
seems shonky to me, but would be easier option if it was allowed..
Anyone care to comment??
LOL easiest thing is if you have a preset that you can't take off the bottle. just remove the Gold 5K burst disc. As for your marker it must be checked luggage but you don't have to tell them as it is more hassle if you do. i stopped telling them when they were more worried about the air bottle then the marker.

minimum allowable pressure is 125psi. anything over is classed as DG. presets just leave the dumpy on it open.

What russ posted is pretty much the way to go, just make sure you declair that you have a registed firearm in your bag and the bags locked. The ckeck in chick/dude gets pretty spun out when you say this!
