are you playin in da BUSH or on da FIELD...???

cause in da bush you may want it for AGG factor..??? (Pup swears blind he uses his, but we all know it's bullshit...)
but on a sup-air field it's just gunna add more weight, give the opposition more to hit, and you will never get time to line anyone up anyhoo...

they are permitted in all types of paintball except BLIND PAINTBALL (with tha bells an shite)...

mate i havent had a red dot on my marker since drug wars, and that was over a year ago, yeah it looks cool, but for a lefty on an A5 just doesnt work for me.....no im not selling my sight or offset rail before anyone asks.

personally i think you might get alot of people shitted off if you go blinding them with a lazer.

if you are serious about wanting something to aid you in your aiming, look at a red dot sight. i have used them on other firearms and think they are a pretty good asset.

The use of laser sights and human eyeballs are contra-indicated. But a red dot sight or an occluded eye sight are fine. I've used a couple of red dot sights over the years and they do help, but they're not very popular in competition play. I don't use them for paintball anymore, but we put them on all our lasertag guns. They ones we are using now are no longer a dot in the rectical, but a red or green crosshair. You can mail order them in for a good price. PM me if you are interested and I'll send you the relevant URL.

Most fields won't let you use a laser sight. Red dot sights on the other hand are not a laser and do not project anything, it has an LED that it bounces off the front lense into your eye. Red-dots are the way to go, and your enemy won't know he's being targetted :)

P.S. I use my sight on my A5, it's very effective at giving you a good indication where your balls are going to go.. i.e. increases snapshooting accuracy or keeping your aim where you know someone is going to stick their head out of again

Wouldn't it be a bit hard using a red dot sight while wearing your goggles?

No - not at all, they have a large eye relief. I prefer the holo sight for snap shooting and the tube type for low light shooting. However for paintball i use the good old fashioned mechanical sight

to be honest i dont even use the sight on my A5, just aim down the length of the marker and shoot, correcting my fire if need be by watching the rounds path

i have a laser pointer type sight with universal mounts but i'm yet to use it on my borg.
its going on my rifle eventually, for taking out the ferals in low light on my uncles farm.

i just don't see that it would help even a little in any sort of paintball combat situation..

Honestly I dont care what another person has its their opinion and well as a bushball player they would be pretty terrible theyd give you away easy.
