There is a reffs clinic but some how i don't think your going to travel to it, but yes it would be great to have one up here in Brisbane
Here's the thread

But if you do wan't to know more about reffing there are three things you need to do.
1.read the rules
2.then read the rules
3.lastly read the rules
If you don't know the rules of the game your reffing stay off the field, take a leaf out of Backlash's book those guys know there shit.
It's suprising how smooth a game runs when the players can't argue with the reffs cause the reffs know what there talking about.

You can talk to Paintball Pete (on this forum) he organises ref training. There would be others too, but he is a start.

look reffing sucks when its time to ref. everyone will admit it to been the sh!tiest job on the field but very few will wear that jersey.... just make sure that you want to do otherwise you will lose your passion for the sport very quickly...
the best way to learn is to just get stuck in at the deep end... read the rules.. remember the ones that you use the most for the first time out(you arent the one in charge for of the field so for the begining you wont know all the ins and outs ) but the most important thing to remember is to call it how you see it... you cant see it all but thats why there is a team of ref's out there....
But never forget to have fun out there.. otherwise whats the point....

and remember 1 for 1's are fun, but 2 for 1's are great and if youre really lucky there's one way to ruin everyone's day with the 3 for 1!!!

There is no such thing as a 4 for 1. The most you can do is a 3 for 1 , so I suggest that you start by READING the rules, and then UNDERSTANDING the rules in which to make the split decisions once you are out there reffing the field.
There are other things to know as well, like watching players without giving their positions or intended moves away to the opposition.
The number 1 rule I like to tell people about reffing is NOT to watch the game, but to watch the immediate players in your area (on both teams) and know what moves they are likely to make so that you can put yourself in the correct position to make the correct calls.
Number 2 rule is not to actually follow the players up the field as they are moving up, you should already be in a position as to follow them with your eyes only and not by walking along side them.
Number 3 is not to open your ears and listen for potential paintchecks, and then get yourself directly to the player to check for hits. You will cop a lot of paint, but that is your job.
This is a start, hope it helps.
