The next time a local school or shop gets vandalised by "paintballs" and our sport takes another step back towards the dark ages or just gets banned altogether, we will know where the tossers got their paint from........

It is ridiculous that Ebay sells paint with no responsibility as to where it finally ends up and to whom..:thumbsdow

Yes, lets restrict the sale of paintballs, dangerous stuff that they are. While we are at it, I think we need to institute strip searches of players at the end of their sessions to make sure they don't take any spare paint home. If you fly me in, I'll strip search the women. It's a tough job, but somebodies got to do it.

I bet his shooting over 300, and his barrel/marker set up wont be near as accurate or as safe as a marker.. so he should wear the mask.. Slingshots are random.

"crapuball" LOL

lets say, hypothetically i was shooting an air rifle, it dents (but doesn't pierce) a car door, however, a slingshot loaded with smallish ball bearings punches through the door and the lining... which is more dangerous?

and yet you have to have a firearms licence to have an air rifle, but not a slingshot..

some of our laws are a bit silly..

In Vic you can still get slingshots even though they are illegal
they are called Bait casters.
But i have heard that name used for orange guns too.
Even though an orange gun is classed a morter and there by you will go away for along time.

I think they should regulate Paint the same way ammo is(you need to show your lic.).

If everyone sent Ebay an email, they may change their position on Pball sales to the general public... Hell they don't sell porn, and it is legal...

Also, if everyone send that ####tard that sells the paint a nasty email too, we may also get the point across.

"Feel the wrath of my compressed air/co2!"

Without easy access to paint, those with unlicensed markers would not be able to use them. I highly doubt anyone with a licensed marker would do anything stupid.

On the contrary dude. If you are stupid enough to do drive bys then what do you think will happen when they have no paint left. They would do like any other moron that does drive bys mentality and look for other things to shoot out of the gat. Now lets think what a friggin jaffa would do in a drive by.

I also agree the likes of us legit owners would never think of doing that and agree its the illegal owners.

Believe me, from speakin to mates that are police, then they will be treated like anyone else using any illegal firearm shooting at people.
Thats why it is at least good that legally they are firearms.

bubba
18-04-2007, 04:42 PM
True ghosty, jaffas would hurt.. we used to fire skittles out of our gloveguns in highschool and they hurt :thumbsdow

Having these people resort to other projectiles is probably a very bad thing. The last thing we need is someone using a marker to fire a marble and seriously injure/kill someone :(

ghostrider
18-04-2007, 04:53 PM
Although not selling paint would help it would also shift the problem probably for the worse.
I just think we need to be carefull with shadowing OUR sport of paintball as a dangerous one. Its not dangerous and we dont use weapons we use a marker. We dont use ammunition we use paintballs.
Dont persecute the sellers but dickheads who cause OUR sport to be looked upon as negetive.
I doubt the public are frowning upon paintball too much because the drive bys.
No different to a drive by with a Glove guns and marbles. They arent banning marbles.
No difference with Archery and if any drive bys or murders, Arrows arent banned.

bubba
18-04-2007, 05:00 PM
I hear ya dude, in that spirit I try not to refer to my markers as "guns" and try to correct people when they do call them guns. I try to refer to them as "toys" except when within earshot of the police. Stories about people getting shot pointblank in the head and ending up in hospital are probably not something the public/those that count should read.

Blobby
18-04-2007, 06:51 PM

Thanks for your email.

I wish to advise that paintballs are not deemed ammunition and therefore do not require authorisation by a permit to purchase or possess.
