Do we need to lock up like the Air or Paintballs?
No just the marker.
But hey you can if you want too.

Im going to try get one of those laptop safes.. someone said a $100 one from officeworks is a pass. I think its 6mm think.. all round here in NSW. Then just 2 locks and bolted!
Yeah not sure what the exact specs are for NSW laws.

Paintball gun = Pistol or Longarms?
If Longarm it's 3mm thick walls with a 6mm thick door.
when your buying in nsw you need a cat 2 safe.
cat 1 is for a & b
cat 2 is thicker.
Youl find some of those little laptop safes dont meet cat 2 but some people have had them passed anyway. Either take the risk with not being aproved with $100 safe or spend $500 and get something from a gun shop that will pass.

Yeh i know it's cat 2.. but alot of those officeworks, bunnings etc safes.. do have what is needed. 6mm door, 3mm walls, 2 locks, and bolted.. i think they are pretty safe

I got mine from Orrifice Works, it meets all the regs.
Bunnings had only 5mm door safes, so be careful.
Remember to use proper dyna bolts to hold it down - not the ones supplied with the safe.

In NSW the rules are if the locker or vault under 150kg it hads to be bolted to the floor and or wall.
And has to have 3 locking systems at least and paintball markers are considered semi automatic firearms and the paintballs are considered ammunition which is advised to be locked in another locker or a interior locker within the original locker.

what's all the fuss? If you get caught by the cops having the wrong safe, then you'll see what the fuss is.

I was about to say the same.

Hi there.
Kinda new to paint ball. Right in the middle of getting my gun licence at the moment and wow what a drawn out and long process it is. Im sure it will be worth it tho once i have my black NXT shocker in my hands. haha anyway i thought that i would mention that i went to my local gun shop and purchased a gun cabinet for 250 dollars that can hold 3 rifles and has an inbuilt ammunition safe. They offered my a Paintball cabinet for 230 dollars and thought for an extra 20 i may aswell have the abillity to buy a rifle or more paintball markers in the future.

Hey Ryan, we have slightly different regs here in WA to everyone else. I got myself a 3x rifle safe from Guardall (the manufacturer) for $185
Yeah. If anything, I think our regulations are a "little" less stringent than other states. 2mm thick doors are ok. It's the anchoring bit that's a bit tricky if you have wooden floorboards like me.
Check here.

I got myself a $49 job from Buggings.
Fits my Ion if I dismantle the barrel and my feed neck clamp off it.
