Ok GUYS SOUNDS LIKE THE SHIT IS HITTING THE FAN, SOME IDEAS.

How about just coming over and bring your gear and leave it here for the next years events, sound like the OZ scene is buggered anyway, just a thought.

Currently talking with a manufactureing company, if they could send secondhand markers as rental for the both tournies, angels cocker whatever we can get.

Talk to the same supplier to sell new markers to players leaving them here, paying the cost over 6 months,

Most NZ player have spare gear and are happy to loan them out , angels cockers and shockers bushies, there has got to be something to make this work, we have 19 NZ teams up , would be nice to see at least one Aussie team, if you are coming and need a marker drop me a line , cheers Peter

The WDP tournament Rotorua will be seeded as follows.

25 teams = 5 groups of 5 teams, in each group you will play each team=4 games ,the top 3 in each group make the cup the bottom 2 in each group make the plate.

cup playing 14 games max point wins
plate playing 9 games max points wins

cup prize pool is huge, trophies down to 5th

plate thanks for coming :) just joking, trophies down to 3rd small prize pool.

those teams that recognise that they are not a cup team may seek in writing and be place into the plate :

This type of seeding is ment to make for a close tournament with most teams playing as hard as they can.

Rating of Aussie teams in top positions, I would consider all the attending Aussie teams as in the top 3 of each group of 5, thiswould see them seeded first or second in that 5 group and they would be expected to make the cup 15.

Met up with Knackers today ,he's been here for a few days and he's sounding like a kiwi already,took him down to the stadium for a look around, a good day in NZ.
I have spoken with the computer dude doing our scoring system, players will see their team position a few minutes after the game is played on the tv screens around the stadium, he is looking into the possiblity of posting them every 30 minutes or so , this will mean your guys can see results as the have happened, may work, worth a go, will try somehow to post points as quickly as possible, cheers Peter

Saints, won the weekend with some very hard games, Friestorm coming second, the Aussie boys had some bad luck with paint and loaned markers, I think if you have to play with markers you dont normally use and still do well then, you will be asskicking when your back in your own home ground with your own gear, looking forward to being in Sydney, cheers Peter

Well done to all the Oz teams, I was in Roto playing this weekend and the boys from over there did really well. Very good teams and had excellent sportsmanship, really good to see. Wish Firestorm was able to bring there prizes back to Oz with them. Hope to see you all again soon.

Jetts were on target for the semi's (i.e. Top 4) in the Cup finals - but tied for points in the quarter-finals with Raiderz. (Both on 224 points).

First tie-break is head-to-head results - and Raiderz had that one 96-12.

The X-Presidents didn’t do all that well sadly. There were some small problems with markers, Like A4 angels smashing every ball they fired. After we got the paint sorted we got our act together.

I would like to thank Big P for putting on a fine tourney the man works like a Trojan, day and night.
The venue was great, stadium paintball is the only way to go!!!
Well done to Cheryl the only lady player and now NZ TV seleb.
Good job by Haden, Big Kev, Diesel, Wayne and Nort, adopted Aussie and part time tour guild.

The quality of play by the kiwis was impressive there were no easy wins out there.
The highlight for me was X-Presidents beating the Saints in the prelims on Saturday.

It was possibly the worst paint ive ever seen. The red and yellow two tone paint split down the seam when rolled on a tile floor, when it wasnt stuck together and the orange had sedimented so badly that it looked like it was two tone. This paint had obviously been sitting somewhere way to long.

Yep everyone was using the same paint, and WDP supplied it. Every box we opened had a big clump of ball stuck together, or the balls had multiple flat spots.
Then the yellow and red broke if you dropped it from higher that 20-cm, the other as TTAM said was so sedimented it never could fly straight.

Thought I would give my twopenneth on here.
It was good seeing some of you guys in Roto. shooting the ball.
BYO or Field is always a sticky point, even for me as a player but also as a Field Op.
Tru the paint that was used "could" have been better.....However its something we all know is out of our hands as such...
I personally only broke 6 balls.....The first day on Yellow fill , 2nd day on Orange.
I used my XMag all weeknd as my team mates Speed (which was new that day broke) stuffed the Feed port thread and it fell off, so he used my Speed.
I found the reffing ok....
Its never easy being a Ref.....I wouldnt be one if you paid me.Who in thier right mind would "MISS" the biggest Tourney in NZ to Ref a bunch of Hyped up, Cranky, Doped up;) Paintballers.
But they did so we could play ball.........all kudos to those guys & gals.
I hope you guys can make it to Hamilton in January 04.....It will Rock.

The paint was supplied by WDP - not a NZ supplier.

January will be a blast - hopefully most of the teams will be able to play, but there are a few that are having trouble making it cost wise (close to Xmas and the October event).

That in mind if there are any guys who are looking at coming across, but don't have a full team, let Pete Mumby or someone know - I'm sure that spots can be found!
