Sports Tonight Etc

Just a suggestion would it be a good idea to send a video to the sports tonight or some other sports show, explaining whats happening in our sport maybe even showing some footage from Brisbane or Adelaide tourney, Maybe even get some one from the appl to try and get an interview,even if we cant get a segment maybe even just play of the day (to replace the usual motercross, base jumping, home run etc).Might be a bad idea but just a thought

I contact someone about 12 months ago and they were not even slightly interested. I think it was Planet X.. I explained who this is one of the fastest growing extreme sports in the world and about the Sup Air fields and bright colours and everything. Their reply was some thing like they are not interested as it is a team sport and not an individual sport..

We will show them one way or another. Sports tonight would be a good one if we could break into that.
Team Ballistic here in S.A, up in Roxpy Downs has a page set aside in their local paper and everything paintball from their field up there gets printed in the sports section. (or so I have been told).. Maybe we should all send articles to the local papers in each state or some thing?? Send out invites to the sports writers to come out for a blatt???

brisbane EXTRA take email sugestions for stories !! thats why channel 9 was at brissy !! but i didnt see what of even if they used the footage??

I got Brisextra out a few years ago, It was a good day and the reporter and the camera man had a blast however the producers of the show said they had to include the negitive side of the sport but i was just some dickhead without a clue. I have still got a copy if anyone wishes to view it.

yeah channel 9 was at brissy and they taped the game where we smacked you guys hard bunker then they done an interview with me but i dont think they aired it I think Gav paid them so they wont see footage of me shooting him:D

Hey Guys,
I think it would be great to get more positive publicity for the sport.Maybe Tony Squires from "The Fat" ABC tv should be invited to a tourny or training and given a run or something like that.
Maybe someone [Mick,JD miff] from the APPL could get on the show and talk about paintball.I'm sure they would like it. Oh and
just to let u know that before the Adelaide tourney I spoke to all the sports depts. and so called sports journos at the commercial tv stations news area and they all said they would come down and cover it.
Not one showed.

Actually sports tonite came out and filmed Sydney Heat at a training session back in 1993 or 94 and aired the sport in a positive way.I still have footage, so maybe they will do a follow up story now.Its only been like 10 years or so since they have aired this great SPORT of ours on television.......:D :D

I dont think it is sensational enough for tv these days I mean there is no violence or drug problems or law breaking in general so why would they want to film us they would rather do stories on crappy heartfelt stuff:D Instead of an exciting sport that makes people smile and have fun and could even give the economy a shot in the arm:D
