I am Look into getting a Marker and getting into a Team
I've Been Playing for about five yrs just rent and having fun days out And I think I would like to start getting serious about it

So I need a point in the right direction
AutoCooker (e-blade) or Angel (LCD or IR3)
Which is better?????????????????????
Review on the Cooker Sound like is it the best of the best
But talk face to face ppl say the Angel is far better.

So what very ones Ideas on the subject:confused:

The best thing for you to do is try out both guns.

But from experience the cockers are more accurate and you can buy them from Macdev in australia. I have use an angel and IMO I felt that the fire power was there but quite often the first few shots went wide of the target (only just but enough) were as the cocker usually hits first time.

but try it out for yourself.

I wouldn't say angels are simple. They are great while they are spitting paint out the end but there is a lot of electronics involved if they go down.
Cockers however are a little different. Accurate, quick(not angel quick), And you can buy them new from macdev (warranty issues). Cockers need a bit of a fiddle to get them shooting great but well worth the effort.
The choice is yours, a lot of it comes down to personal preference.

I love Cockers Because of they a so Accurate (from 60feet they will shoot a 4inch ciruale of paint all day if setup right
But a I love they fact a Angel if Fast and there is not alot a fiddling to do.

It also depends on where you play. If you are a definant front man I'd go with the E-Blade, it's easy to use on the field. Nice and compact, Angels are good for back-mid players.
And if you are going for an autococker get the E-Blade, many autocockers have the issues of breaking them selves alot. E-Blades don't.

It's alot of money to be putting into a first gun, alot more because it's in aus. But still, if you get the right ones and look after your marker you'll probably have the same one for the rest of your life.

Angels are the toy that is best suited to sup-air..............look at most the teams in the APPL.........in the last cupla years angels have overtaken as the most popular gun on the aussie circuit, cockers are good if you would rather setup a toy while everyone else is playing!!!......................go out and shoot all the toys you can, only you can decide what works best for you,, watch some latest release DVD's...........ANGELS, Timmies, Impulses, are worldwide preferred markers, cockers that are looked after by teams and would have a technician to help them perform reliably also perform well (ie: naughty dogs)


I say ANGELS RULE the others are just trying to be as good as ANGELS - Accuracy is 90% ball to barrel fit, correct bore size is a must, sooo many dudes try to tell me their barrel is so good, how can a single bore size suit your paint from day to day........what a joke....................get an ANGEL and a FREAK and then you will have a great piece of kit!

I have to disagree with some of the previous comments;
The Angel would more suit a front player than the cocker as the angel is such a tight marker to use you can snap shoot so quick and they fire that fast that the snap shot will mean about five balls in the air not 2. As the biggest selling point so far for the cocker is the accuracy then to get a benefit of this you'll be up the back.
Thing is the fields are getting tighter and smaller so almost everyone on the field is a front or mid player so the cocker is getting left behind a little.
It will always come down to the guy behind the trigger not the thing in his hands but you still want to give yourself the best equipment to work with to start with. Plus even with an E'blade you'll never out run an angel and if you get close you better duck for cover as the cocker startsw throwing little bits of shiny ally everywhere as it rattles apart.

I completely disagree with you on this statement..........U dont need the speed when u are up front, ...U need snapshooting ability, which means u need acuracy. the guys at the back need to fill the oppisitions barricade with paint to enable their frontplayers to move up or snapshoot them, The faster you shoot the less acurate you will be with each ball. however that also means that there are more in the air.

Having said this I dont believe that there is too big a problem with using any type of marker in any position. Its how you play with that marker that makes the difference.

Look, My old heap of shit marker can shoot at 15bps....Can I shoot it that quick??? No & there are not too many ppl that can shoot a marker at that speed if any.
Because we have things that have the ability to be able to reach these speeds, ppl believe that everyone on the feild has to shoot them at the markers maximum ability. I have seen Joe Kantor come off the feild & has only used 1/2 a hopper & shot 5 out of the 7, Where the rest of us had gone through most of our paint. Our job was get him into his position & that ment that we had to keep their heads in. acuracy never played too big a part in that piticular game it was just make sure the bastards dont come out of their barricade

all you can do is go out and try the markers as people have said.
Both markers are great in the right hands, but in the wrong hands they both fall apart and will continually cause you grief.

Go out to a field and ask some of our lovely fellow paintballers if you can try their marker on for size, remember though, their marker will be setup for their preferences.

AFA you doubting if anyone can shoot 15 bps... what planet are you from? hehe

I know a quite a few ppl that can shoot angels at greater than 15 bps and 13 to 15 is common place.
I can shoot 13 anytime for as long as I need and have hit 16/17 in bursts although i rarely do that in game as I tend to try and get with the first couple...;)

As to the value of high rates of fire I tend to agree with you but i think it is very dependent on too many variables to generalise I say whatever floats ya boat... rip or snap its all good in the right conditions.
It is also just plain good fun to hear and see a marker ripping at high ROF

Get an Angel mate. Cockers rock no question. But angels are like the lastest car, sleek and today. I got into this game with a budget so I could only get an automag. Run with an angel you'le love it and get a cocker later. Every bodies gotta drive a holden (right).

I've benn looking at a Sonic AC. But the only thing there's no Review out there Say long the Work out in the field .

Ok is there anyone out there that's has play around with a SONIC AC? But I don't think there a E-blade ,but I guess you could upgrade the Frame to a E-blade

Sonic AC's are just plain awesome. Weather it's the 2002 model or this years. Accurate, high rate of fire, and long distace. Put a race frame or a e-blade(don't know too much bout this one as the sonic was designed for the race frame) on one and it will shoot at 20+ bps no problem, a lot more accuratley than an angel.

Best bet is to try to find somebody with an electro-trigger on a sonic, put a hopper through it and then through the angel, all at different ranges and make you decsion. What other ppl like you may hate.
Try before you buy in other words.

The try before you buy thing would be great if I could don't that .But because it's illegal here so the range of guns is a few Mostly toury grade Angles owed by ppl that wouldn't wish there markers to by played with.

-=[S***UBUS]=- I bought a new sonic 03 about a month ago after owning a Mag for the last 6 years.

Can't praise the Sonic highly enough, it's light, fast looks awesome. Haven't had a chance to put a huge amo*** of paint through it yet to test the accuracy but we already have 2 02 models in the team the their accuracy is awesome. Well worth the cost.

You don't have to worry about any federal import restrictions and they are made right here. You get free services for the life of the gun. Great for us guys that don't know the internals inside out......:)

My Sonic should be back from MacDev next week, it came with the wrong spring in it.....Not MacDev's fault, one their manufacturers sent them the wrong parts but they were great, one phone call then I just packed it up and sent it off no questions asked.

I will post a pic of it all set up with the Air System if someone hasn't already beaten me to it when it gets back to me next week

Because I've priced out Hopper and AIr System of it and it's going to cost around $2500. which is still a great price But I could still get a sec Hand Toury Grade Angle only 1year for that price

hey there bunker monkey....you got my old baby now....hope it is still work good.....that is an 02 model...the 03 is different in the bolt. milling. ect...my old red one ahs new 03 internals but most 02 dont....and the 03 with an 03 conquest will operate atabout 170 psi straight out of the conquest...no need to double regulate...03 also havethe sexy new fade jobs.....new feed tube, 10 degree asa and more....

the 03 with 03 conquest(68 3000 tank) go for $2510 AUD...NEW...
wiht the service warranty to boot.....grab a evo 2 from gav for around 200 then go out and have a blast.....you can't go wrong

CDG has an Egg2 hopper and a brand new Mac Conquest system. All looks very nice.

They certainly make nice gear. I have myself essentialy a sonic o2 with an E-Blade grip.

I've seen a Angle shoot 19 bps But the target he was shooting at only got hit 7times the target size was 1feet sq at 35feet and the rest of the ball were between half metre to a metre away from target.

Try a shocker or an e-cocker of some sort....you wont be dissapointed!
Ive had my eclipse shocker for 3 years now and it has never let me down, the only marker I would consider swapping it for would be a electro cocker, e blade or race frame, both pretty good!
There is an eclipse shocker for sale on these very pages, in WA too....good price as well!
I know Im gonna upset the angel users but i just cant seem to shoot accurately with an angel, maybe its just me?!?
