New Field in Mackay , Qld

Hello Paintball World,

Awesome news. The Mackay City Council has approved a tournament field in Mackay. The field will be at The Mackay Motordome. Obviously it will be a sup air field with the goal of 3 seperate fields eventually. hopefully it will be up & running before easter 2007. The motordome also had motorcross, burnouts & jet boats. The operator (Action Paintball Mackay) currently has a bush ball field which has been operating since 1988. The bushball field has been constantly improving it's field & equipment over the last 2 years & now has 12 field, 53 semi autos & over 40 pumps. The field is easliy the best in Mackay & allows you to bring your own gear also. Will keep you posted on the progress of the New field which will be 100% speedball & will be renting ions for starters. There is also a scenario field being discussed at another location. Action paintball Mackay will offer a paintballers wet dream, 3 fields : Bushball, speedball & scenario ball. Watch this space.:armed:

Adrenalin paintball in Mackay has some awesome fields and games, hope this stuff at action is as good.

You don't know until you try. Action has added 3 new fields in the last 8 weeks as well as all new semi's & have never increased their prices since opening. Action is easily the best in Mackay.

Hi guys

Well a bit about action in mackay from a player. This is my home field and I am proud to say it! :armed: I've played alot of paintball around Oz and Paul from Action runs the days really professionally and gives everyone a great time no matter your level.

Go and play Baghdad or Splinter Cell and you'll know what I mean. I woudnt drive from Rockhampton to Mackay (3.5 hr) every weekend if it was crap. Just though you would want to hear from a player!!!

Easter has come and gone. Politics in the answer. I don't want to broadcast all the details but it is getting abit drawn out. It has approval and there is nothing stopping it from going ahead except "Politics". Once i get through negotiaiting i will let you know. Dont hold your breath waiting for anything to happen in mackay schimski. Even if someone did decide to do something right now it would take ages for it to go through all the processes and documentaion required to open a new field. No matter how much we want it.
It will come one day dude...... one day........

I hope I am not getting anyone's hopes up here again after what happenned last time. As mentioned, the land was sold and the new field (Sup air) did not eventuate. Obviously the existing field is still in operation. The cost of land and warehouses etc in Mackay is crazy and simply not worth it. After talking with other field operators the sup air field is probably not worth it either.However, I am considering night games. This may not happen for a few months. I don't want to think..."If I build it, they will come". I need some commitment from anyone who would participate. I can build a speedball field so no need for sup air, its just fancy BS. Have to set it up, clean it, pack it away and costs a shitload to buy. I can stack some drums, tyres, pellets etc and cost next to nothing. Anyway, if anyone is interested in night games (Speedball style) in Mackay let me know. It would be one night a week only, under lights, BBQ, Drinks etc and paintball would be normal prices for punters and for those with their own gear $120 a box, most likely draxxus. It would open at 3pm for example and go until about 7.30/8pm. It would be a case of turn up on the night but would help if people booked. As mentioned, don't want to get hopes up so a case of seeing who is interested. :yes:
